Forbes.com has released its list of the top 10 cities for job growth in 2009, and my “neck-of-the-woods” tops the list!
Madison, WI.
I’ve been living in Madison, WI for about 5 years now. I love it! Good peeps.
According to www.forbes.com, Madison has an unusually healthy outlook for job growth and a strikingly low unemployment rate of 3.5% in October 2008 (when the national rate was 6.5%).
Technically, the list is compiled by Ajilon Professional Staffing. They start their research by examining the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ Metropolitan Area Jobs Report, which was published in October 2008. They examine cities with the lowest unemployment rate and highest number of new jobs created in the previous six months. At that point, they combine various evidence to pinpoint why the top 10 cities have the best employment situations.
Interesting huh?
With that in mind… if you’re looking for a job you should consider Madison, WI.
Hope this helps!
